Former Cuban Officials Challenge Castro Regime: Is the Threat Real?

February 24th marks the 126th anniversary of the Grito de Baire (Baire Uprising), an iconic Cuban national holiday which marks a signature rebellion in Cuba’s last and final war for independence, Radio, and Television Martí reported having had access to a “manifesto” most critical of the Castro-Communist regime and signed by former high-ranking military and state security officials. These institutions are crucial to communist control. Totalitarian models of governance cannot endure without their capacity to repress and under condition of subservience.

The Office of Cuba Broadcasting, which oversees Radio and Television Martí, is a publicly funded U. S. federal government agency operated through the United States Agency for Global Media, which broadcasts news in Spanish to Cuba. It adheres to high standards of journalistic integrity. Given the verification rigors faced before publishing news of this kind, it is forcibly held to strict precision. This point should dismantle serious notions of concerns for faux authentication.

Donald Trump is Back.

The left’s biggest nightmare has just materialized. America’s freedom tsunami consisting of the New Right, a culture-focused Republican Party and Donald J. Trump has reunited. The goal is nothing shy of saving the Republic. In Orlando, Florida, without any riots, arson, or violence, conservative and centrist Americans gathered to challenge socialism’s wrath on the nation. The American Conservative Union’s CPAC served as the venue for this seminal renaissance of the GOP. The globalist faction was officially expunged.

Normally, serving as the nation’s president casts years on the officeholder. Barack Obama came in looking sharp and youthful yet departed appearing as a worn-out middle-aged man. Joe Biden will, most likely, leave in a stretcher or to an address change in a convalescent nursing home. The 45th president, however, left the presidency looking unscathed by the office. This is incredible considering the awesome challenges he faced, in addition to the dirty war the left, the media, Big Tech, and the cultural elites levied against him. Sunday in CPAC’s conference, Trump appeared rejuvenated and determined to lead the charge in defending the United States against the advances by authoritarian forces, ideologically committed to Marxist objectives.

The Supreme Court Strikes Out.

Pardon the baseball jargon, but even non-fans of America’s favorite pastime sport know that a “strike out” is not a success story. The Supreme Court (SCOTUS) on Monday February 22nd, dismissed eight lingering legal challenges to the 2020 election process from numerous Republican parties. The most salient of the lawsuits involved concerns about the constitutionality of Pennsylvania’s electoral law changes, its ensuing date extension for receipt of mail-in ballots and the overarching conflicts with states legislator’s exclusive primacy in drafting electoral laws and equal protection considerations, both, inherent in the Constitution.   

Does this signify a demolition of the election irregularities, anomalies, and unconstitutionalities arguments? No, it does not. The fact is that the likelihood that a case will be heard before the SCOTUS is practically nil. In 2017, for example, that precise figure was 2.8 %, according to data compiled by the Administrative Office of the United States Courts, recorded in the Sourcebook of Criminal Justice and published by the Supreme Court Press. They point to the irony that it is easier to get admitted into Harvard, than to have a case heard in the nation’s highest court.  

The refusal by the Supreme Court is procedural in nature

‘Biden Has Become a Puppet of the Left’: Interview with Ambassador Otto J. Reich.

Serving three United States presidents, Ambassador Otto J. Reich has been a key player in helping forge American foreign policy in Western Hemispheric affairs and national security areas. The Reagan Doctrine’s policy objectives of rolling back Soviet communism counted Reich as one of its seminal foot soldiers.

First as assistant administrator of the Agency for International Development (1981-1983) and then the first director of the State Department’s Office of Public Diplomacy for Latin America and the Caribbean (1983-1986), he acutely marked a trend for Reagan’s freedom crusade, with particular emphasis in Latin America. The chapter of service under the 40th president’s tenure concluded as America’s ambassador to Venezuela (1986-1989).

The presidencies of George H. W. Bush (father) and George W. Bush (son) also bore witness to Reich’s diplomatic expertise. Acting as a private citizen, he served as the Alternate U.S. Representative to the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva (1991-1992), as well as Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs (2001-2002) and the Special Envoy for Western Hemisphere Initiatives (2002-2004), the latter two being in an official diplomatic capacity.
