Sports and Politics Do Not Mix.

The adage that politics and sports do not mix is so true. When it is ideology more so than mere political partisanship, it is destructive. American professional sports have become a political force for one of cultural Marxism’s main tenets: Critical Race Theory. Super Bowl 55 promises to be another inglorious spectacle held hostage by woke culture. This calamity is tragically vascularizing America fast.

There was a day when sports served to ease social tensions. Racial, ethnic, educational, and economic societal differences would find in sporting events the unparalleled remedy of harmony. Disparities were set aside, as rooting for the home team became the paramount intention of the day. Official political inclination pronouncements by the sports enterprises and players, much less a particular worldview, were forbidden fruits in the world of professional athletic competition.  Today, that is no longer the case.

Ronald Reagan: An American Icon.

This February 6^th marks the 110^th anniversary of the birth of Ronald Wilson Reagan. A radio broadcaster, actor, union leader, captain in the U. S. Air Force, governor of California and the 40^th President of the United States, Reagan, for some, had it all stacked up against him. After all, he abandoned the Democratic Party, fought communism and was a full throttle conservative when it was unpopular to be one. In his first presidential cabinet meeting, he laid out in layman’s terms what his objectives would be: “I hate inflation, hate taxes and hate the Soviets”. His tenacity, vision, and political will allowed him to prove the left wrong and carry out a seminal paradigm shift in America that had major repercussions in the world.

The “Reagan Revolution” was a realignment of American exceptionalism. This conservative seismic movement consisted of two components: the Reagan Doctrine and Reaganomics. With both, the 40^th president and his very capable administration tackled massive problems which faced the United States and the Free World. Communism had made enormous global inroads, because of negligent Détente, coexistence-based policies that previous American governments, both Democrats and Republicans embraced, and which the Soviets took advantage of and had a field day. The second calamity front was economic. Stagflation, that fusion of economic stagnation (no growth), high inflation and high unemployment, a by-product of disastrous, decades old, Keynesian-inspired economic schemes, was killing America. Reagan’s Revolution offered liberation.

‘Domestic Terrorism Bill’ Only Deals with the Right.

The left is now in control of all relevant levers of power in the American federal government. As predicted, they are moving forward at full throttle speed to establish hegemonic control.

To fully achieve this, significant opposition must be eliminated. This is exactly what the Democratic Party, now possessed by radical ideologues, is carrying out with the proxy Biden Administration. The fabrication of bogeymen “terrorists” and the linkage they are making between this convenient “enemy” and the vast conservative movement is the shameless strategy being currently employed by the left.

Democratic members from the House of Representatives have recently submitted H. R. 350 The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021 (DTPA) in the lower chamber. DTPA is not really an antiterrorism bill. The fact is that the Section 2331(5) of the Federal Criminal Code already defines terrorism. The USA Freedom Act (2015), which replaced the Patriot Act (2001), furthermore, provides additional tools to combat domestic terrorism.

Antifa and Black Lives Matter fall outside the purview of the Domestic Terrorism Bill

Florida: A Free State.

Leading up to and during the American Civil War, states were classified as either “free” or “slave”. That most horrific, but inevitable and necessary armed conflict, settled the issue of slavery and unified the “house divided” that so eloquently Abraham Lincoln described in his speech in 1858.

Today, we also see fundamental differences in the quantity and quality of freedom enjoyed by citizens of America, which are determined by the state in which they live. The “house divided”, is now witnessed, not necessarily because of geography. It is attributable to the political party in power, but even more so, it is sewed up by ideology. The Made in China virus has laid out the setting which has crystalized this great divide among the United States. Liberty is abundant in some places, yet a rationed commodity in others. Florida is a free state.

Florida reject statism

Under the stewardship of Ronald Dion DeSantis (Ron DeSantis), Florida’s 46^th governor, the Sunshine State has faired much better than most big states during the coronavirus pandemic in all measurable categories. This has not been a coincidence. It has been a direct result of specific policies which rejected the “advice” of statist, leftist political scientism, which insisted on a monolithic approach to the problem.
