Cuban specialists deny information from the Ministry of Health on Luis Manuel Otero.
A group of medical and biological science professionals, inside and outside the island, discussed the note issued by the Havana Provincial Health Directorate regarding the case of Luis Manuel Otero Alcantara, who was involuntarily transferred to a hospital after eight days on hunger and thirst strike as a peaceful protest against the authorities' repression.
The group of specialists met in several places to analyze details of the note, as well as the values of the blood tests performed on Otero Alcántara. Watch the video in Spanish:

Castroism exploits cattle ranchers. Beef in Cuba: a round business for the state monopoly.
LAS TUNAS, Cuba. ─ "The cattle rancher is paid for his animals with devalued Cuban pesos, while the meat from those same cattle is sold to Cubans charging them U.S. dollars," we pointed out in the article Cattle, ranchers and the beef route in Cuba, published by CubaNet last April 19.
To corroborate that statement, we now bring to our readers some figures from the list of prices for the purchase of cattle by the state monopoly. We also show other numbers that indicate the cost and sale price, not only of the meat from these cattle in stores that only accept U.S. dollars as a means of payment (the so-called MLC stores), but also of other meats such as imported chicken, which is also subject to usury.

Cubans in Spain protest exhibition on the assassin Che.
A group of Cubans in Spain has protested for three days against a photographic exhibition in Guadalajara, Castilla - La Mancha, which exalts the figures of the late dictator Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara, reported on his social networks Lázaro Mireles, president of the Actions for Democracy movement.
The photographic exhibition, which was authorized by the city government, positively highlights "revolutionaries of principles and commitment" among some 50 transcendent figures.

Otero on hunger strike. Cuban artivist Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara began this Sunday, April 25, a hunger and thirst strike due to the state of siege that the regime of Miguel DĂaz-Canel has maintained in San Isidro since last November. "I don't want to live like this, and this is the last resort one has within one's morality."
"Now I have been under siege for a month, unable to leave my house, the violence has been increasing with impunity against activists, members of the San Isidro Movement, my friends, my family," Otero Alcántara denounced in exclusive statements to CubaNet.
