The Hunter Biden story is practically the new normal in terms of how it illustrates media willingness to suppress or ignore inconvenient truths.
Last week, a Senate Intelligence Committee report detailed how the son of a major presidential candidate, who has an extensive history of shady foreign business dealings, received a $3.5-million wire transfer from the wife of a Russian politician. The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, and most major media outlets didn’t cover the wire-transfer story at all. Four years ago, not reporting such a story was a possibility too absurd to even contemplate — but then again, no one would have predicted the candidate with the shady Russia ties is not Donald Trump, but Joe Biden.

The New York Times’ contention that President Donald Trump’s tax returns “undercut his claims of financial acumen” does not hold water.
Trump, however, is not doing himself any favors by not clearly explaining why he says his accountants figured he owed just $750 in taxes in 2016 and 2017—and not explaining that he actually paid millions in taxes for those years.
A headline in the Associated Press summary of the Times story declares: “TRUMP PAID JUST $750 IN TAXES IN BOTH 2016 and 2017.”
But that’s not true. According to the Times, Trump initially paid $1 million to the Treasury in 2016 and $4.2 million in 2017.

When the New York Times published an interactive version of their 1619 Project online in August 2019, they included the bold claim that the year 1619 is the United States’ “true founding.” At some point in the last year, while defending their project from the disputes of respected historians and issuing corrections for other central claims, the paper of record quietly omitted the controversial “founding” claim from its description.
A look at the source code of the original description found through internet archives confirms that lead essayist Nikole Hannah-Jones and the New York Times Magazine’s 1619 Project removed the line “understanding 1619 as our true founding,” from the description of the project sometime after August 2019.

Gingrich talked about a well-publicized an often reported initiativefunded through Soros organizations and others to elect progressive district attorneys nationwide. He makes the well-known observation that suspects arrested in these cities are often released without bail. Petty crime is not enforced in some of these jurisdictions.
