Trump Responds to Twitter’s Permanent Account Suspension.
President Donald Trump responded to Twitter’s move to permanently suspend his account from its platform late Friday, condemning the big tech giant and saying that it does not stand for free speech.
“As I have been saying for a long time, Twitter has gone further and further in banning free speech, and tonight, Twitter employees have coordinated with the Democrats and the Radical Left in removing my account from their platform, to silence me—and YOU, the 75,000,000 great patriots who voted for me,” Trump said in a statement
“Twitter may be a private company, but without the government’s gift of Section 230 they would not exist for long,” he added.
“I predicted this would happen. We have been negotiating with various other sites, and will have a big announcement soon, while we also look at the possibilities of building out our own platform in the near future. We will not be SILENCED!” he continued.
“Twitter is not about FREE SPEECH. They are all about promoting a Radical Left platform where some of the most vicious people in the world are allowed to speak freely.
“STAY TUNED!”

Twitter expands censorship and Hate Speech Rules.
Twitter has once again expanded its hate speech policies to “prohibit language that dehumanizes people on the basis of race, ethnicity, or national origin.”
Engadget reports that social media platform Twitter has expanded its hate speech policies again, this time to “prohibit language that dehumanizes people on the basis of race, ethnicity, or national origin.”
The change in policy comes more than two years after Twitter said that it intended to ban dehumanizing language and over six months from the last change to the site’s policies that banned hate speech relating to age, disability, and disease.

YouTube suspends OAN Network: gross censorship. One America News Network (OANN) has been suspended by YouTube for a week and demonetized indefinitely for posting what the social media giant says was a “cure” for COVID-19. YouTube did not say what specifically OANN said about a cure for COVID-19 that triggered the suspension.
OANN will be able to resume posting videos to their channel after a week but the demonetization penalty means they will have to reapply to the Partner Program in order to make money again.
YouTube said in a statement that the video violated their “COVID-19 misinformation policy.” Considering how often the CDC and the WHO have contradicted themselves on information about the coronavirus, how do they keep track of what’s “misinformation” and what’s just outdated?

Justice Thomas questions immunity enjoyed by Social Media giants. Justice Clarence Thomas Wants To Revisit Social Media Site Immunity
A Supreme Court justice has urged his colleagues to tackle the issue of immunity for social media platforms. On Tuesday, Justice Clarence Thomas asked the court to consider scaling back Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.
The section in question has served as a shield for social media companies, protecting them from content users upload to their platforms. When it comes to content posted on their sites, these companies have argued they are more like distributors of information than publishers.
