In addition to the Communist China virus, there appears to be another socialist-engineered pandemic that has been attacking the world. The Havana Syndrome has struck again! This time, its impact caused a delay of a flight in Vice President Kamala Harrisâ trip to Vietnam from Singapore this Tuesday, August 24th. This mysterious and ignored malady, that is connected with communist and former communist countries, continues to eviscerate the lives of, principally, United States and Canadian citizens.
Over the last weekend, two United States diplomats stationed in Vietnam were evacuated due to the experiencing of âanomalous acoustic incidents here in Hanoiâ, according to Christopher Klein, United States chargĂ© dâaffaires in Vietnam, as reported by NBC News. This prompted a security concern for the vice presidentâs security staff. The afflicted were found to have hearing, balance, and cognitive changes, which are symptoms consistent with these acoustic attacks which originated in Cuba in 2016.
What is the Havana Syndrome?

Afghanistan is a deeply rooted, multi-ethnic country. They are historically and culturally divided. This may be the key to the countryâs salvation. The Taliban compose, monolithically, only one tribal group, the Pashtuns. In Afghanistanâs 20th and 21st century civil wars, ethnicity has played a fundamental role. When the United States launched the War on Terror, the non-Pashtun tribal coalition, known as the Northern Alliance, facilitated the earliest American victories. There is a good reason for this. The Northern Alliance despises Taliban ruleâbut can a new Northern Alliance stop the Taliban?
There are close to eighteen ethnic nationalities that compose Afghanistan. Each has its own language and ancestral tribal customs and heritage. The five main groups make up the majority. The Pashtuns constitute approximately 40% of the Afghan population. Tajiks, the second most populous ethnic group, has an estimated 30-35%. Hazaras are 10%, Uzbeks 9% and Turkmens 3%. Except for the Hazaras, which are Shia Muslims, most Afghans are Sunni.

Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of Homeland Security, visited Miami on Thursday August 19th and met with a group of Cuban Americans. The concrete purpose was to continue to give animation to Joe Bidenâs Cuban circus. One would think that Afghanistan would have, at least for a brief period, shamed any American government responsible for one of the biggest acts of dishonor in recorded history, from making public overtures of caring for captive nations.
âThe Biden Administration stands in solidarity with the Cuban people and their call for freedomâ, Mayorkas tweeted. The Cuban born co-architect of the Castro-Obama rapprochement scheme, added, âI join @POTUS in our commitment to holding the Cuban regime accountable, supporting the Cuban people, and ensuring Cuban Americans remain a vital partner in our effortsâ. While one can understand why Biden has an interest in vote peddling in the third biggest and the most seminal swing state in the country, why would any Cuban American who claims to genuinely care about Cubaâs freedom, allow themselves to be used by an administration that is clearly making amends to allow the Castro-Communist dictatorship to survive its biggest threat in decades?

Henry Kissinger, former United States diplomat who was a master in the art of betraying American allies, once said, âit may be dangerous to be Americaâs enemy, but to be Americaâs friend is fatal.â Unfortunately, history continues to prove this cynical view of morality and its treachery to the republican principle of solidarity as continuity within the spineless political class. The U.S. abandonment of its Afghan ally, after a twenty-year relationship, will prove most costly over time. It is Americaâs fall from grace.
The direct murder of approximately 3,000 Americans on September 11th, 2001, and the countless thousands of civilian deaths that followed due to diseases borne out of the rescue attempts, was why the United States went to war against the radical Islamist Taliban regime. This Sunni fundamentalist haven was to be defeated. According to the combined data from Linda Bilmes of Harvard Universityâs Kennedy School and the Brown University Costs of War project, over 6,294 people serving the United States were killed in Afghanistan between service members (2,448) and contractors (3,846).
As part of NATOâs presence, over 1,144 Allied soldiers died. As per the U.S. Department of Defense Casualty Status report, more than 20,000 soldiers were wounded in Afghanistan, many of these brave heroes bearing permanent disabilities.
