It came as no surprise when Jen Psaki, the White House Press Secretary, formally announced on January 28th that the Biden Administration would revisit American policy towards Communist Cuba. During the presidential campaign, after all, this had been referenced. Psaki asserted in her statement that, like what Barack Obamaâs spokesperson claimed in December 2014, Bidenâs Cuba policy would be wielded by âtwo principlesâ.
One being âsupport for democracy and human rightsâ and the other, that âAmericans, especially Cuban Americans are the best ambassadors for freedom in Cubaâ. The track record for policies of dĂ©tente (coexistence), or in 21st century semantics, âengagementâ, contradicts the stated objectives of the new administration when it relates to Communist totalitarian regimes.
The deceitful choreography of employing seductive public relations language like âhuman rightsâ and âfreedomâ to frame foreign policy objectives is disingenuous. Bidenâs presidency will restore and reinvigorate the Obama-Castro pact. This would be essentially the practical intent of forging a tropical China model. In other words, a regime where the Castrocommunist Leninist state cohabits with a hybrid economy and coexists with America. This would be consequential with Obamaâs comparison of U. S. relations with China, as well as Vietnam.

Donald J Trump fell way short. The hypothesis that he and his supporters laid out about how the left and its cohorts were conspiring to juggle the 2020 presidential election was off the mark. They severely underestimated the diligence of the conspirators and the depth of their plot.
Molly Ball, in about 6,500 words in her Time essay, falsified the leftâs premise that the talk of âriggingâ the election was just a conspiracy theory. The leftâs plot to âinfluence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of informationâ proved to be a formidable collusion feat carried out by elites to elect a candidate of their choosing.
The magazineâs national political correspondent and biographer of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was clear when she wrote, âThere was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenesâŠâ. Ball called it a âwell-funded cabal of powerful peopleâ involving over â150â left-wing organizations, as well as big business, labor, and the technology oligarchy. Its âworkâ, the Times piece relates, âtouched every aspect of the electionâ.

The adage that politics and sports do not mix is so true. When it is ideology more so than mere political partisanship, it is destructive. American professional sports have become a political force for one of cultural Marxismâs main tenets: Critical Race Theory. Super Bowl 55 promises to be another inglorious spectacle held hostage by woke culture. This calamity is tragically vascularizing America fast.
There was a day when sports served to ease social tensions. Racial, ethnic, educational, and economic societal differences would find in sporting events the unparalleled remedy of harmony. Disparities were set aside, as rooting for the home team became the paramount intention of the day. Official political inclination pronouncements by the sports enterprises and players, much less a particular worldview, were forbidden fruits in the world of professional athletic competition. Today, that is no longer the case.

This February 6th marks the 110th anniversary of the birth of Ronald Wilson Reagan. A radio broadcaster, actor, union leader, captain in the U. S. Air Force, governor of California and the 40th President of the United States, Reagan, for some, had it all stacked up against him. After all, he abandoned the Democratic Party, fought communism and was a full throttle conservative when it was unpopular to be one. In his first presidential cabinet meeting, he laid out in laymanâs terms what his objectives would be: âI hate inflation, hate taxes and hate the Sovietsâ. His tenacity, vision, and political will allowed him to prove the left wrong and carry out a seminal paradigm shift in America that had major repercussions in the world.
The âReagan Revolutionâ was a realignment of American exceptionalism. This conservative seismic movement consisted of two components: the Reagan Doctrine and Reaganomics. With both, the 40th president and his very capable administration tackled massive problems which faced the United States and the Free World. Communism had made enormous global inroads, because of negligent DĂ©tente, coexistence-based policies that previous American governments, both Democrats and Republicans embraced, and which the Soviets took advantage of and had a field day. The second calamity front was economic. Stagflation, that fusion of economic stagnation (no growth), high inflation and high unemployment, a by-product of disastrous, decades old, Keynesian-inspired economic schemes, was killing America. Reaganâs Revolution offered liberation.
