The Infrastructure Bill Is the Royal Road to Communism.
Commentary: I used to think the idea that the USA could turn communistic was nonsense. It could never happen here. No longer!
The way that 19 Republican senators have folded in like sheep for—or should I say colluded with Democrats on—the 2,700-page, trillion-dollar infrastructure bill is but one more indication of this appalling trend that is crossing over into a new reality.
I am not even going to go into the fact that—other than those who created this boondoggle, and even with them, it’s questionable—no one has had the time to really read it, let alone study its implications. As Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) pointed out, it’s twice the length of the Bible.

Senators hit a roadblock Thursday night on adjustments to the bipartisan infrastructure package’s cryptocurrency reporting rules as the White House weighed in to push a smaller change.
The bill’s lead negotiators, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), joined with Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), on an amendment late Thursday that would exclude “proof-of-work” miners and wallet developers from new requirements that those facilitating cryptocurrency transactions must report information on trades to the IRS for tax enforcement purposes.

Biden told an assembly of labor and political leaders as well as top executives from General Motors, Ford and Stellantis N.V. — which owns Chrysler, Dodge and Ram — that he signed “an executive order setting out a target of 50 percent of all passenger vehicles sold by 2030 will be electric and set into motion an all-out effort.”
