On Saturday, July 13, during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, there was an effort to kill Donald Trump. The 45th president and Republican candidate in the 2024 elections survived the attack. Many things that should never have happened occurred, and other factors that should be inherent in a democracy were dismally absent. Here are some of the seminal lessons that one can take away from this tragic event.
The Left and the Biden-Obama Regime Bear Responsibility
Since June 16, 2015, when Trump announced his candidacy for the presidency in the 2016 election, the Left has targeted him. Initially, the Democrats, corporate media, the oligarchic social media class, the deep state, and elite globalist moguls believed they could use him to alienate and divide Republican voters. Once they realized their strategy failed and Trump won his party’s nomination and challenged Hillary Clinton, the Left conspired with heavier guns.
The Obama administration used state institutions like the FBI, CIA, and Department of Justice (DOJ), with financing from the Democratic National Committee’s election war chest, to construct false narratives that tied Trump with Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin. Obama government officials went so far as to commit fraud on applications to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to spy on the Trump campaign. When that character assassination attempt against the Republican candidate failed and Trump won in 2016, the war against him heightened.
The Russia hoax, the sham impeachment accusations (the second while out of office), the media Biden corruption coverups, and the Chinese pandemic with its consequential electoral systemic overhaul disrupted Trump’s first term. The pandemic-altered, bizarre 2020 election, plagued with gross irregularities and statistical inconsistencies, handed the presidency to Joe Biden. From then on, Obama’s third term was initiated, and the persecution of Trump and conservatives, pejoratively labeled by left-wing zealots as “MAGA” Republicans, took on new heights.
Marxist dogmatic proposals were fed into the American cultural means of production by the Biden-Obama regime. For this sinister project of making America socialist to succeed, the fascist classification had to be firmly attached to Trump and his vast following. This broad coalition, dubbed “extremist” by the Left, consists of moderate and conservative Americans with one principal binding denominator: a rejection of globalist left-wing political and social objectives. For over three and a half years, the Biden-Obama regime has used the FBI, CIA, DOJ, and other agencies of the federal government to persecute Trump, “MAGA” Republicans, and Christians and Jews with deep religious convictions that put them in conflict with cultural Marxist policies.
The Democratic Party’s 2024 election platform has consisted of making Americans falsely believe that Trump is a “threat” to democracy. That is basically it. For this, they have used, since Biden’s ascension to power, the judicial system to levy charges and convictions against Trump and people close to him. Innocent Americans have been made into political prisoners with ludicrous sedition accusations and charges stemming from the January 6 Capitol Building riot. Parents and traditional Catholics have been investigated as potential domestic terrorists. This has been part of the Left’s fascist, white supremacist/nationalist conspiracy lie that remains their campaign banner.
The grand failure of the Biden-Obama regime’s extreme-left politics is evident in the southern border anarchy, skyrocketing crime in Democratic-run cities, hyperinflation in certain sectors, and the promotion of Marxist dogma (Critical Race Theory, Queer Theory, Gender Ideology, Postcolonial Theory) in key institutions (public and private). The vitriolic hatred against Trump has been built up out of necessity. The Left can only win and maintain a following if they scare people. For years, they have consistently, relentlessly, and irresponsibly compared Trump with Adolf Hitler, a national socialist mass murderer. By making the former president out to be a monster whose mission it is to destroy American democracy, an assassination attempt, whether unintentional or otherwise, was in the brewing.
Serious Failures in the Secret Service Performance
The fact that someone with a rifle was able to climb on top of a roof at 130 yards (0.12 km) distance from the podium where Trump was speaking and take a shot raises serious concerns. Either the Secret Service was grossly negligent and failed epically in basic rudimentary protection, or there was a mole within the department that facilitated the lapse in protocol. There is no way this can be understood. Kimberly Cheatle is the Biden-appointed director of the Secret Service. Despite having PepsiCo as her last previous employer, she worked for 27 years in the Secret Service, including being assigned to protect then-Vice President Biden. In other words, Cheatle knows the intricacies of protecting high-profile political figures.
Witnesses and video recordings make the case that Secret Service personnel and Butler Police had knowledge of the gunman’s presence. Thomas Matthew Crooks, the former president’s would be killer, was cited on the rooftop with the rifle as Trump was delivering the campaign speech. Secret Service snipers were seen pointing to Crooks, yet not neutralizing him preemptively. They fired only after the assassination attempt was executed. Why the delay?
Can Biden’s FBI and DOJ be Trusted with the Coming Investigation?
After over at least five years of the wanton political misuse of the FBI and the DOJ by, both, Obama and Biden, can Republicans trust that a fair and comprehensive investigation into the attempted assassination of Trump? The answer is no. The empirical evidence should convince any skeptic that under the political watch of the Biden White House, the judicial system has only used its legal and law enforcement muscle against conservatives and right-leaning activists. Antifa, Black Lives Matter, pro-Hamas and other Islamist-Marxist groups have fared with generous immunity under the current system of law. Trump and Republicans should invest in private security operatives, in addition to using the available public venues, at least until the 2024 election.
The Assassination Attempt favors Trump and Republicans
The fact that Trump survived the attempt to permanently silence him, and the manner in which he did it, will definitely benefit his candidacy. Just as the levying of unfair criminal charges raised support from many undecided or centrist voters, this horrific intent to kill Trump and the gracious and brave attitude displayed in the literal line of fire, will most certainly add votes in his favor. It appears safe to bet that the assassination attempt will elevate Trump and show Americans, not that he is an “existential threat to democracy”, but rather that murder was a path that his opponents were expected to take at some desperate point. This would be consequentially logical if the Democrats' claim and discourse were to be taken with merit.
Divine Intervention Saved Trump and the Nation
Last, but most important, God’s hand was ever present in saving Trump from death. It is extremely rare that a bullet from an AR-15-style rifle just grazes a piece of skin. The slight movement of the head in the pivotal second before the bullet was about to obliterate Trump’s brain is exceptional. The reflex exhibited by the 45th president, a non-military man, was formidable. God has His reasons for doing things. As Psalms 19:9 tells us, “The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.”

Lavrentiy Beria, the longest-serving head of Joseph Stalin’s secret police, is infamously credited with noting that he could prove criminal mischief even among the most innocent of men. The paramount overseer of the Soviet Union’s Gulag prison system and key architect of the political repression between 1938 and 1953 once bragged, “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime.” Manhattan District Attorney (DA) Alvin Bragg, who was elected in 2021 to his current position on the campaign pledge to go after Donald Trump, claimed mission accomplished with the guilty verdict on all 34-state felony counts his office received on Thursday May 30. The George Soros-funded DA had structural assistance in this dastardly legal scheme from the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ), the judge overseeing the trial, and a targeted geographically tiered judicial pool that is ideologically entrenched. Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln would have all been found “guilty” under a similar authoritarian, kangaroo court setting.
Of the four legal trials against the Republican Party frontrunner since his candidacy was tacitly evident, this is the most barefaced. The meddling from the political pulpit in the 2024 presidential election to attempt to assure a Democratic Party victory is being done out in the open. The courts are one of the Trojan horses used to mask their illegitimacy. The utilization of the justice system to silence opposition and influence election results is nothing new. Non-democratic regimes have always done it this way. Every single person sent to Russia’s, China’s, or Cuba’s gulags was done so under the auspices of the “law.” Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Bolivia eliminate opposition leaders by levying criminal accusations.
The Biden-Obama regime is knowingly following the scripts established and practiced by experienced dictatorships, adapted to the American model. The U.S. path to non-democratic rule is rougher and requires special considerations, given the intricacies of its federal system of government. This is why socialist-hospitable enclaves like New York City and Washington, D.C. (among others) are the preferred legal venues to fabricate crimes to achieve the ends they seek. When there exists a two-tiered legal system that is politically and ideologically predetermined, then the rule of law becomes a capricious element of structure based on where you live or if you fall within the federal grasp of Biden’s DOJ.
This is how the Left pulled off this Berian-like conviction in New York’s “hush money trial.” The whole court proceeding lacked elemental due process and followed a pattern of stretching the law and establishing precedents beyond the scope of accepted norms. Truly, this is the Marxist dream of postmodern law. The thirty-four counts all relate to one single occurrence: a bookkeeping infraction, at best, concerning a $130,000 payment under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) (perfectly legal) paid to a porn movie actress for sexual services (Stormy Daniels) in an alleged one-night stand that supposedly occurred in 2006. The prosecution’s key witness was a convicted perjurer (Michael Cohen) who, additionally, admitted to having stolen $60,000 from the Trump real estate conglomerate.
The judge umpiring the case, Juan Merchan, was the prosecution’s enabler. Medullary a Democrat, Merchan has donated to the Democratic Party and anti-Trump causes. Additionally, the judge’s daughter is a wholly committed employee of the Democratic establishment, making a living fundraising for Democratic political candidates. The trial that her father presides over has generated enormous sums of money, which she has benefited from financially. By working as an executive director at a top-notch Democratic firm that is connected directly with is Adam Schiff, the Democrat National Committee, Democratic Senate Majority PAC, and even Biden, Merchan’s daughter’s employment is grounds enough for him to have recused himself on conflict-of-interest grounds.
Perhaps the most influential entity on the prosecuting team was Matthew Colangelo, the number-three official at Biden’s DOJ, before transitioning to Manhattan’s DA office. Acting as the lead prosecutor, Colangelo laid the groundwork for the concocted legal theories that were explored to criminalize Trump’s legal actions. He served as the natural bridge between New York and the White House, in other words, between the Manhattan DA and the DOJ. Additionally, he has served as a paid political consultant to the Democratic National Committee. Fundamental to the prosecution’s strategy was to make the charges against Trump a felony since bookkeeping issues are a misdemeanor.
Colangelo and Bragg introduced novice, unchartered legal theories by arguing that New York voters had been “defrauded” in the 2016 election by Trump’s actions. Logically, this would place the jurisdiction in federal terrain, since the allegation involved supposed campaign finance violations. To neutralize the burdensome task of overriding logistical challenges that this judicial hypothesis would present, the cooperation of the presiding judge would be a prerequisite.
To ensure that the outcome would, ultimately, be what it was, Judge Merchan effectively prevented key witnesses for Trump’s legal team from testifying by micromanaging what the defense could ask and what the witness could answer. One such example was election law expert Brad Smith, a former member of the Federal Election Commission. This witness was most important for the former president’s case. However, Merchan’s draconian limitations would render his testimony mute. The judge demanded to previously see in writing what the likely testimony would be.
The final and fatal blow to due process and Trump’s chance of a fair hearing was the unprecedented jury instructions given by Merchan to the 12 jurors. One of the hallmarks of American jurisprudence in criminal cases is the prosecutor’s burden of having to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. In other words, to render a guilty verdict, the jury must be virtually certain of the defendant's guilt. Here, the judge would leave nothing to chance. A guilty verdict required that the jurors determine, by unanimity, that Trump falsified business records with “intent” to defraud. Furthermore, the payment made to buy silence for the alleged sexual favors was part of a “conspiracy” by “unlawful means” to elect Trump in 2016.
Merchan broke with judicial protocol and tradition and established special rules for the jury to deliberate on. The left-wing judge allowed the jury to freely decide for themselves, according to their own personal standards, what those “unlawful means” were. In other words, they were free to imagine any path possible to arrive at the “unlawful” characterization. Clearly, this judicial curse epitomizes injustice and is a mockery of the rule of law. Considering the ample manipulation of the trial in the prosecutor's favor and the fact that the jury body consisted of one of the most hard-core Democratic Party populaces in the U.S., there was no way a different outcome could have been expected.
The utilization of the American court system to persecute, silence, and keep a candidate from competing in an election is an act of despotism. The radical Left will use all its resources to stop Trump from winning the 2024 election. It should be noted, however, that if the Republican candidate were any other non-globalist, conservative, anticommunist person, they too would face similar illiberal, antisystem wrath. Republicans, Independents, and centrist Democrats must realize that the American Republic undergoing an existential threat. God willing, Trump should win in November. It will take a brave course of restorative justice to return normalcy to the U.S. Those responsible for this authoritarian power grab must be held accountable. We all know who the suspects are. No one is above the law.

For the politically illiterate, the Palestinian cause is an easy sell. Concepts like “genocide,” “occupation,” “ethnic cleansing,” “liberation,” and “free Palestine” have been used to undermine and proselytize students into the political cult that is Marxism. A 3,000-year-old history set against a decades-long ideological campaign would seem overwhelmingly easy enough to paint a clear picture of knowledge. The fact that a Palestinian identity is a synthetic invention and has no basis for legitimate claims goes unnoticed. The radical Left’s dialectical maneuver for political power has exploited Islamism’s October 7 attack on Israel beyond the imagination of many. We are witnessing a low-level, quasi-insurrection at high-profile American university campuses where the existing order is being challenged.
Allan Bloom's classic, The Closing of the American Mind (1987), warned about dangers of curriculum changes, which began in the 1960s and gained a foothold by the 1970s, in the U.S. higher educational system. The Jewish American philosopher argued that this posed a threat to democracy and freedom of thought and expression. The “changes” Bloom noted, all stemmed from intellectual inroads that drew their fire from Marxist Critical Theory. The extension of a series of grievance studies programs with inherent postmodern appendages has succeeded in virtually monopolizing U.S. university courses. There is an ignoramus student body that has been indoctrinated as planned.
It is disappointing and dangerous to see the bulk of the American political class and media commentators dwelling on the symptoms rather than the cause. The recent passage of the “Antisemitism Awareness Act” in the House of Representatives (still pending Senate approval) is an example of this erroneous perception. This “hate speech” legislation is horrific, as far as a free society is concerned. It curtails freedom of expression, is counterproductive to Israeli interests, and excuses the unwillingness of public officials to enforce existing civil rights laws.
The virulent attacks on Jews and the State of Israel in university campuses are clear, as is the unlawful takeover of public spaces and common university premises. However, the opinion that the protests and attacks on Jewry and the Jewish state are primarily grounded in antisemitism is simplistic and flawed. It overlooks an overarching underlying element that is present and substantiates this action. The context of the Palestinian “liberation” cause is at the heart of what drives the young university Jacobins to fanatism.
Herbert Marcuse, Franz Fanon, Edward Said, and Jean Paul Sartre are more responsible for these subversive actions that are being displayed, than hatred of the Torah, the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible), the Talmud, or Zionism. Critical Post-Colonial Theory, a variant of the Frankfurt School’s concocted Critical Theory series of revolutionary calls to war premised on selected oppressor/oppressed dichotomies, underpins these acts. The British and French Mandates lawfully carved out West Asia and the Middle East from the partition of the Ottoman Empire. The State of Israel came to be, as did the modern-day states of Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Iraq, and Egypt. Palestinian Arabs, it should be noted, were also given territory and the opportunity to form a state, but they rejected the offer. The former Soviet Union and the international communist community capitalized on this and immediately partnered with Arab nationalists linked to the geographical zone of Palestine. Thus began the Marxist wars to “free” Palestine and the invention of the labeled Palestinian identity.
The rogue acts of subversion happening on U.S. campuses are well funded and organized. The money that underwrites many of the groups that are logistically coordinating the vandalism, protests, and public space occupations and destruction is a major donor to far-left groups, causes, and Democratic Party politicians. This includes benefactors of President Joe Biden. Mega tax-exempt structures such as the Tides Foundation, Tides Center, Libra Foundation, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have, at different intervals, flowed generous amounts of money to the most aggressive ultra-left movements spearheading the pro-Hamas protests.
Groups like the Jewish Voice for Peace, IfNotNow, Palestine Legal, Solidaire Action, Climate Justice Alliance, Black Organizing for Leadership and Dignity, and Immigrant Defense Project are some of the field militias that have spearheaded the despicable acts. All have received funding from one or more of the tax-protected donor conglomerates mentioned previously. Who heads these donor organizations? George Soros, Nicholas and Susan Pritzker (heirs of the Hyatt Hotel empire), Bill and Melinda Gates, and David Rockefeller Jr. It is well to note that Soros and the Pritzker’s are Jewish. This should emphasize the point that antisemitism is not the principle instigating factor.
The common denominator of this multidenominational force seeking to disrupt civility and challenge the American democratic order is Marxism, epistemologically, particularly Critical Theory, and globalist socialism, methodologically. In other words, Marxist doctrines are the most suitable intellectual frameworks, considering their emotional appeal. The practical finale is a Fabian socialist-like centralized globalized order. The State of Israel is, for them, part of Western civilization. Israel and non-Marxist Jews embody, according to this Marxist-Islamic alliance, white supremacist, colonialist, and patriarchal structures of power. The domestic problem of terrorist apologia and activism in American universities and cities is Marxism.

“Cuba has a chronic systemic problem. In the economic sense, this is what János Kornai described in his 1980 monograph, ‘Economics of Shortage.’ Cuban communism has maintained its economy in a socialist enclave, despite its market ventures using state-owned enterprises and concessionary capitalist tools. This has helped the Cuban regime to survive. The Cuban people, pragmatism. The Cuban regime’s economic ministerial replacement is of little relevance. Cuba is still a totalitarian state. Seminal decisions regarding policies, particularly ones that could be consequential, are decided beforehand by the top echelon of power. By the time it reaches the desk of Joaquín Alonso, as was the case with Alejandro Gil, they are simply orders to implement. Not even the Chinese or Vietnamese variants of market socialism appear workable in the Cuban context. This is clearly out of fear of losing power. Corruption is another mainstay in Cuba. It has molded into its essence. At the top levels of government, the pillaging of state assets, as well as the exploitation egregious. Scapegoating is another systemic characteristic. Gil is serving that role now. Cuba is transitioning to a socialist kleptocracy, a Putinism with Cuban characteristics. The people are aware of this scheme, which makes obvious the haves and the have-nots. The protests are a sign of popular discontent beyond recognition. It is a change of system, not a change of economic minister, that is desperately needed.”
