What is Multiculturalism?
Multiculturalism is a broad ranged set of ideas and policies geared towards granting special recognition and/or status to groups of different cultures, races, ethnicities, religion’s, sex, gender affiliations or other minorities. In dealing with pluralism within a democracy, the policies of multiculturalism foster cultural and, ultimately, moral relativism. By extending special privileged legal recognitions to certain groups, the notion of equality under the law is undermined. The practice of “identity politics” is causally related to multiculturalism. Its reliance on culture and victimhood as practical motors of social change, make it rationalized expressions of what is understood as cultural Marxism
